APRU 14th Annual Presidents Meeting
The meeting brought together university presidents and vice-chancellors of member universities belonging to the Association of Pacific Rim Universities.
In June 2010 the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) gathered in Auckland for their 14th Annual President’s Meeting. APRU is a consortium of 42 leading research universities in the Pacific Rim aiming to foster cooperation in education, research, enterprise and dialogue and collaboration to promote economic, scientific and culture among Pacific Rim economies. The delegates consisted of Presidents and Vice-Chancellors from the association; the theme ‘Global Change - Pacific Perspectives’.
With 75 international delegates the CCE Conference Management Team made sure every venue was matched for purpose and all customary requirements were covered well in advance. Transport was organised to and from the various locations with delegates taken back to the Hyatt Regency Hotel each evening for rest and reflection on the day’s events.
The historic Council Chamber of Auckland Town Hall provided a fitting venue for the welcome reception. The welcome dinner in The University of Auckland’s Fale Pacifica (meeting house) created the ideal backdrop to discuss some of the crucial themes of the meeting including climate change and it’s impact on the people of the Pacific.
Providing excellent customer service to the Presidents and their representatives the CCE Conference management team ensured the conference, from registration to conclusion ran smoothly and efficiently.
