Centre for Continuing Education
Study Abroad in New Zealand
Whether you have 10 students or 50, would like to study for a few days or several months, the team at the Centre for Continuing Education can tailor a course to meet your specific needs.
The centre also arranges field trips and activities to enhance classroom learning.
Programme Managers work with clients to design a course specifically for a group of learners. Lecturers from the eight University faculties can be engaged to deliver just what you want and multidisciplinary courses are available.
The Centre for Continuing Education also provides customised International Short Courses for Professional Development and English Language students.
We enjoy hosting international groups and work closely with students and accompanying academics to make each person's experience valuable and enjoyable.

Depending on the programme, courses may be taught entirely by faculty from The University of Auckland or jointly with your faculty. Course work can be examined and assessed by University of Auckland faculty with credit awarded by the student's home university.
The centre can arrange accommodation to suit your group. A range of quality and budget hotels and apartments are located within 15 minutes walk of the University Campus. Your programme manager will advise on accommodation that fits your budget.
Homestay accommodation within a 30 minute commute of the university can be arranged for the length of the group's stay. All homestay families comply with the Ministry of Education Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students.
University of Auckland Halls of Residence are often available for international short course students during the summer holiday from November to February.
Programmes generally incorporate a combination of lectures and field trips. The centre has experience and expertise in arranging field trips including Māori cultural workshops, tours of Auckland and visits to such places as the Auckland Museum, Auckland Zoo, educational institutions and government departments.
Regions outside Auckland that are popular destinations for field trips are Rotorua, the Bay of Islands and the University's Marine Research Field Station at Leigh, north of the city. You may choose to extend your visit outside of the Auckland region and we can arrange educational visits throughout the country.
Some programmes include a cultural field trip to one of the Pacific islands and these can be arranged by the programme manager.
