Programme Manager – Lifelong Learning
I joined the Centre for Continuing Education at the end of 1999 as a member of the Lifelong Learning team. Prior to this I worked in the adult education sector as a tutor and as a secondary school teacher. One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is the variety it offers - from liaising with our wonderful tutors and academics to develop and design courses and seminars, to managing the programme’s budget.
My primary responsibilities are managing medical and health, languages and the writing programmes. I also enjoy setting up topical issue seminars utilising my strong relationships with many organisations and academic staff. I am part of the Campus Sustainability Group and I am actively involved in a centre-wide initiative to “green” CCE.

Programme Manager – Lifelong Learning
I have been a lifelong learning programme manager since 2004 having worked as programme coordinator for three years. I enjoy the variety of my role, which includes all aspects of the development, delivery and promotion of our annual programme of courses, workshops and seminars. My areas of special interest include art history, computing, education, history, literature and the performing arts. I also coordinate the University Lecture Courses, which allow people to enrol as non-credit students in selected undergraduate courses. I am Chair of the centre’s Quality Committee and manager of the Making Good Decisions certification programme for Resource Management Act decision makers, which we deliver under license to the Ministry for the Environment. Working with our wonderful team of tutors and meeting the people who attend our courses provides me with constant inspiration and motivation. I look forward to meeting you at one of our courses.

Receptionist / Administration Assistant
I have been with the Centre for Continuing Education for over 20 years and am the receptionist at the centre. I am also involved in the lifelong learning programme as an administrator. I look forward to taking your enrolment or answering any queries you may have about our courses.

Lifelong Learning Coordinator
Hi I’m Amy, the Lifelong Learning Programme Coordinator at the Centre for Continuing Education. I have worked in the tertiary education sector since 2004 and have a background in management, engineering and accountancy. I am responsible for the coordination of the Lifelong Learning courses and provide administrative support to our fantastic team of tutors.
