Influencing upwards
Would you help with our research into how subordinates influence their managers?

There are a number of ways that members of staff try to influence their bosses and at CCE we are trying to discover which tactics are used by which types of employee. We need managers or supervisors who work 15 hours a week or more to fill in a questionnaire (without disclosing their identities) about themselves and about one of their staff members.
I would be very grateful if you would help, not only would you be contributing to internationally published research but you would also be helping CCE to improve the training we offer to managers.

Informal learning
This research aims to discover the techniques workers use to track others in informal work settings.
The value of lifelong learning
This research aim to establish the values participants place on lifelong learning.
Approaches to learning
Learners try to understand what they are learning in many different ways. Not only do learners have different approaches to learning, but they also have different styles of learning. We aim to get a better understanding of how different learners approach their learning, and why that approach works for them.
Continuing education learners
Very little research has been conducted on continuing education learners. We have conducted a survey of over 900 people in an effort to understand why they attend courses, how they learn best and what they value the most.
Making decisions
We are developing our understanding of how good decisions are made and what constitutes decision making competence.
Influencing communication
Communication and influencing skills are important in all walks of life. We are investigating how people at work influence each other and how their skills can be developed.
