Cancellation and withdrawal policies

Cancellation and withdrawal policies are different for each programme. Please refer to the policies below.

Lifelong Learning Courses
  • If you withdraw from a course more than five working days before the start, your course fee will be refunded, minus a $35 administration charge.
  • If you withdraw from a course five working days beforehand or less you will receive a 50% refund of your course fee, minus a $35 administration charge.
  • No refund will be given for courses with a fee of $35 or less or after a course has started.
  • If a course is cancelled by the Centre for Continuing Education you will be advised and your course fee will be refunded or a transfer arranged.

Professional Development Courses
  • If you cannot attend a course, a substitute participant is welcome.
  • If you transfer more than five working days before the course, no transfer fee will be charged.
  • If you transfer within five working days of the course, a $100 administration fee will apply.
  • If you withdraw from a course in writing or by email more than five working days prior to the course, you will receive a refund less a $50 administration fee.
  • If you withdraw from a course in writing or by email within five working days of the course, you will get a 50% refund.
  • If you do not attend the course and have not advised us in writing or by email before the start date the full fee will apply.
  • If a course is cancelled by the Centre for Continuing Education you will be advised and your course fee will be refunded in full or a transfer arranged.

Summer Workshops Programme (7 - 11 January 2012)
  • If you withdraw from a workshop on or before Thursday 1 December your workshop fee will be refunded, less a $35 administration charge.
  • If you withdraw from a workshop on or after Friday 2 December you will receive a 50% refund of your workshop fee, less a $35 administration charge.
  • No refund will be given after Friday 9 December
  • If a workshop is cancelled by the Centre for Continuing Education you will be advised and your course fee will be refunded or a transfer arranged.

New Start Courses
  • Cancelled classes will be refunded unless the student has an outstanding debt to The University of Auckland.
  • Fees are not refundable once a course has started. Refunds prior to course commencement are by arrangement with a Programme Manager.

Making Good Decisions Courses
  • If you cannot attend a workshop, a substitute participant is welcome.
  • If you withdraw from a workshop at least three full weeks before the workshop date, the workshop fee will be refunded less an $85 administration fee.
  • If you withdraw after this date no refund will be given.
  • Transfers between workshops are subject to availability and an $85 administration fee.
  • If a workshop is cancelled by the Centre for Continuing Education you will be advised and the fee refunded in full.
