Developing short courses for professionals
The Professional Development unit of the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) is available to help all staff with the development, design and delivery of short non-credit courses.
CCE is a central service division of the University charged with making the knowledge and expertise of the University available to its various communities. It has a staff of 20 with expertise in non-credit short course design, management, marketing and administration.
The centre works across all faculties and assists academics to disseminate research, build the skills of professionals within their disciplines and access additional sources of revenue. The centre is the leader of its kind within New Zealand and has won national and international awards for its skills in short course design and delivery.
We offer academics a flexible and professional customised course service from concept to completion. Our service includes:
- course design
- promotion and marketing
- brochure design/layout, printing and distribution
- website development
- e-learning platform
- contract management
- financial management
- online enrolment
- presenter/facilitator selection and support
- development and printing of course materials
- venue and catering organisation
- travel and accommodation coordination
- evaluation and follow up with participants and presenters or facilitators
- moderation.
